This lady over there to the right is my auntie Brianne and it's because of her that I set the site up originally.

The below in green was the original front page but as the site grew and things progressed I've re-jigged things a bit. The below is the history if you like and I'll always keep it.

"My aunt is battling cancer at the moment and conventional treatment is not working as hoped so we (my family & myself) are trying to raise money to send her for treatment in Germany – please click on the Brianne link for more information on the treatment & circumstances. Basically we need to raise about £5,000 for the treatment alone plus hotels and flights for the stay so we reckon we’re looking at approx eight grand. In addition there are unforeseen costs - translation of medical records and the like.

To try and encourage you to donate I shall hurt myself in October. Not once but twice. This alone should encourage some of you to be donating money already. I’m not going to stick pins in my eyes but I will run two half marathons – The Great North Run (1^st Oct) and The Jedburgh half marathon (31^st Oct). To put this into perspective I’m not very good at running but I’m better then my Grandpa who is old. And a touch senile. If more money is needed I shall keep running. In addition to the run there are other things that have been other things going on that have helped out – please see “Other fund-raisers” (link) as there have been a lot of happenings."

I am starting a series of runs to raise as much money as I can to contribute towards Brianne's treatment. Please, please do donate or pledge as much money as you can. I promise that every single penny will go directly to Brianne and her family to cover the cost. Anything that I raise over and above that will be donated to the Macmillan nurses who have been a source of much strength for my aunt.

If you can think of any other way to raise money please do get in touch as I am very happy to consider each and every proposal!"

To donate just click on the “donate” link on the left - it’s very simple to donate money. I’m going to be using Paypal to store the money so my foreign family/friends can donate without being hit by bank transfer fees. I will update the message board with comments and every donation made by who etc to keep things as transparent as possible. If you could also click on the “Other fund raisers” link you can add to our total just by clicking on some links and supporting other ideas we have.

Anyway that’s enough for now - thank you so much for all the support received so far. Feel free to look at pretty pictures of me on my photo page link if you are bored. Or perhaps you could read the other drivel I shall be posting here and there as and when I feel like it. If I was you I would donate the money and have a look at the links page at much better websites that amuse me/I like.
