Fundraising Efforts!

All of you
All of you who
have donated to the cause – thank you so much! There has been
an incredible rise in donations at the 7th October approaches and I
am really grateful.

Phil Young & Lynsey Ralph
A special thank
you to Phil Young & Lynsey Ralph who have totally unexpectedly
helped me out and for this I owe them a massive thank you. Phil is
running in the GNR dressed as Scooby Doo – whilst carrying buckets
(fool) and two weeks later he is doing the coast to coast bike ride
to raise funds for cancer research. Phil is donating a large
proportion of the money raised towards my aunt’s treatment. Lynsey
has helped Phil out massively by arranging raffles, fund raising at
work and publicity. The raffle is the best thing she did though
because I won one of the prizes. In fact I won two but wasn’t
allowed the 2nd one. Bastards. Anyway what I am trying to say is a
massive thank you to them both.

David & John Gilbey
David is
Brianne’s youngest son and will be undertaking the impossible task
of a day of silence at his school on Tuesday 3rd October.
So far he
has raised £270 and I know his classmates are raising money too. I for one know
this will be the hardest thing David has ever done in his life and
wish I could witness the event in person. I would advise David uses
gaffer tape on his mouth to help and if he manages to keep quiet I
shall add 50 quid to his sponsorship. That money is safe ;o)
Update
- David has completed the silence along with a load of his
class mates. He raised nearly twice as much as originally estimated
£520!!
Excellent, good work. I don't know too much about exactly what
happened but I gather he had some signs to help him along the way
and allegedly didn't utter a word. hmmm. I don't believe he kept his
mouth shut all day as this is impossible for him but I do know that
I owe another 50 quid to the fund. Well done David :0)

John (Brianne's oldest son) has
been unable to drum up sponsorship for his proposed "not playing on
the computer" scheme so he's deducting his donation at source
from his paper round. Which is the equivalent of me giving away a
months wages or so - good lad.

Wymondham
Catholic Church's Congregation
Thank
you to my uncle, Anthony von Roretz,
who came to my aunt’s church at the end of September and took
portraits of some of the congregation - all proceeds from the day
went direct to Brianne’s appeal and he raised £268.49 from this.
Following this event, the congregation have donated further money to
the appeal and this has raised £1060 in total. Thank you all
so much.
